Hi! I am Dr. Ashley Bordelon, a licensed psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst living in Oregon. I received my Master's degree in 2006 and worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor prior to working with children and families for the next decade. I returned to school for my Ph.D., which I received in 2018, at Louisiana State University. I completed my internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I am a licensed psychologist in Maryland and Oregon. My experience in diagnosis and treatment of disorders ranges from childhood externalizing disorders (challenging behavior, Autism Spectrum Disorder, etc.) to internalizing disorders, such as anxiety and depression, in adults.
My therapeutic techniques center around the underpinnings of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Mindfulness, values-based living, and behavior modification are all parts of this process. I will help guide you to learn to live with your feelings and thoughts and not against them, while helping you change your behavior to live closer to your personal values for the long-term.

Dr. Ashley has been amazing. She helped me learn coping mechanisms to help with my anxiety, ADHD, and autism that all really help my day-to-day life. I finally feel like I can live my life without having to talk to her every week because everyday isn’t as hard as it used to be. I truly love and appreciate her. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Ashley to anyone looking for a therapist who will listen, advise, and push your limits.

I have only spent a couple of weeks with Dr. Bordelon but I am already feeling a bit lighter and empowered in this short time. Dr. Bordelon has provided very useful guidance and ways to practice how to communicate better through worksheets. She has also been thoughtful with her feedback on my questions so that I have a better understanding of myself and how to be more assertive in situations where I have felt challenged and overwhelmed. I know I have more to learn to reach my goals and feel confident I am working with the correct person to reach those goals.

Ashley is extremely consistent and helpful! She's been a wonderful listener and checks up on me regularly, but not so much that I feel any pressure if I don't reach out. She has a warm personality and made me feel supported from our very first meeting. Ashley has been a great listener. She's never made me feel judged or unheard.
